Locals in Wheeling, WV swear by Coleman's Fish Market when you want seafood that feels straight-from-the-dock fresh. You walk in to that clean, salty smell, a busy counter, and coolers packed with glistening fillets while someones calling out the next order. You load up on thick salmon, sweet shrimp, and flaky white fish thats ready for the pan, plus crab cakes and house-made dips that make dinner feel handled. You grab a few lemon wedges, seasoning, and maybe a chowder to-go, and you realize this is the kind of stop that quietly upgrades your whole week. Its quick to get in and out, the prices feel fair for the quality, and the crew is friendly in that no-nonsense, local way. You leave already planning what youre cooking next.
