Wetumpka 14U All-Stars Blank Birmingham Young Barons 6-0

The Wetumpka 14U All-Stars delivered a complete team performance Sunday, shutting out the Birmingham Young Barons 14U by a score of 6-0.

Wetumpka wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, breaking the game open in the bottom of the first inning. Wyatt Taylor sparked the offense with a clutch triple that drove in two runs, while an error allowed another run to cross the plate, giving Wetumpka an early 3-0 advantage.

The All-Stars continued to apply pressure in the third inning, adding two more runs after Cooper Clayton ripped a double down the left-field line. Wetumpka’s offense was efficient throughout the contest, capitalizing on scoring opportunities and maintaining control from start to finish.

On the mound, George Childers was dominant for Wetumpka. The right-hander tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out seven batters and walking two. Childers kept Birmingham off balance all game and never allowed the Young Barons to mount a serious threat.

Wetumpka’s offense was led by Wyatt Taylor and Cooper Clayton, who each drove in two runs. Taylor, Barrett Cook, Brodie Cramer, Clayton, and William Lambert all recorded hits in the victory.

Cooper Clayton Drives In Four as Wetumpka 14U All-Stars Defeat Moody 14U, 13-5

The Wetumpka 14U All-Stars put together a complete team performance Saturday, overcoming an early deficit to earn a convincing 13-5 victory over Moody 14U.

After Moody jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, Wetumpka quickly responded with a six-run bottom half to take control of the game. The biggest hit of the inning came from Cooper Clayton, who delivered a clutch double that drove in three runs and sparked the comeback.

Clayton finished the day with a dominant performance at the plate, driving in four runs on two hits. He doubled in the first inning and later tripled in the second, helping fuel Wetumpka’s explosive offense.

Wetumpka added seven more runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach. Ford Willis contributed with an RBI single, while CJ Franklin worked a walk that brought home a run. William Lambert also added an RBI after being hit by a pitch. Clayton’s bases-clearing triple highlighted the inning before he later scored on a sacrifice fly.

On the mound, Jase Martin turned in a strong outing for Wetumpka. The right-hander worked four innings, allowing five runs—just one earned—on five hits while striking out four and walking two.

Wetumpka 14U All-Stars Dominate SMP 14U All Stars, 20-3

The Wetumpka 14U All-Stars delivered an impressive performance Saturday, defeating the SMP 14U All Stars by a commanding score of 20-3. A huge second inning proved to be the difference, as Wetumpka exploded for 13 runs and never looked back.

After a competitive start, Wetumpka’s offense erupted in the second inning. George Childers highlighted the rally with a bases-clearing triple that drove in three runs. Max Gardner added a run-scoring single, while several patient at-bats and defensive miscues by SMP helped Wetumpka pile on the runs. By the end of the inning, Wetumpka had built a comfortable lead and seized complete control of the game.

Wetumpka continued to apply pressure throughout the contest. In the third inning, Barrett Cook stole home to add another run. The offense wasn’t finished, however, as the All-Stars struck again in the fourth inning with six more runs on six hits. Cooper delivered a key hit that plated two runs, Wyatt Taylor blasted an inside-the-park home run, and Cook added another RBI single as Wetumpka extended its advantage.

On the mound, Tyler Worthington turned in a solid performance for Wetumpka. The right-hander worked four innings, allowing just two hits and three runs, only two of which were earned. Worthington struck out two batters while issuing four walks to help secure the victory.

The Wetumpka offense was relentless, collecting 13 hits on the day. Wyatt Taylor, Brodie Cramer, and CJ each recorded two hits. George Childers and Cooper led the team with three RBIs apiece. Cook, Gardner, and Taylor were aggressive on the base paths, each stealing multiple bases as Wetumpka finished with 11 stolen bases.

With the victory, the Wetumpka 14U All-Stars showcased their explosive offense, aggressive baserunning, and strong pitching. The team will look to carry that momentum into its next matchup against Moody 14U.

Wetumpka 12U All Stars Fall To Gordo 12U AllStars After Late Score

Wetumpka 12U All Stars stayed in it until the end, but Gordo 12U AllStars pulled away late in a 5-4 victory on Saturday at Choccolocco. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the fourth when a wild pitch scored one run.

Gordo 12U AllStars got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after F homered to center field, and D singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Gordo 12U AllStars added one run in the third. D grounded out, making the score 4-2.

Wetumpka 12U All Stars defeated Ragland 12u 16-1 thanks in part to nine runs in the third inning. DeReako K drew a walk, scoring one run, Aaron B was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Callen S drew a walk, scoring one run, Caleb E singled, scoring one run, Lucas J doubled, scoring two runs, Case C singled, scoring one run, Rj T singled, scoring one run, and Carter G doubled, scoring one run.

Wetumpka 12U All Stars flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring seven runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Case on the seventh pitch of the at-bat that drove in two.

Wetumpka 6U All-Stars Roll Past Arab 15-0 in Dominant Performance

The Wetumpka 6U All-Stars put together a complete team effort Friday, overpowering the Arab 6U All-Stars in a convincing 15-0 victory.

From the opening inning, Wetumpka’s offense set the tone. Bennett R got the scoring started with a run-scoring double, giving Wetumpka an early lead and igniting an offense that would stay hot throughout the game.

The Wetumpka All-Stars broke the game open in the second inning, erupting for seven runs on eight hits. Ridge L, Beckett L, Henry H, and Gabriel H each delivered RBI singles, while Luke D added an RBI double. William B provided one of the biggest hits of the inning with a two-run triple as Wetumpka surged ahead and never looked back.

Wetumpka continued its offensive showcase in the third inning, plating seven more runs. Bennett delivered the highlight of the game with a three-run home run, while Ridge L ripped a two-run double and Beckett L launched a two-run homer to cap off the scoring barrage.

Wetumpka 12U All Stars's effort to come back from down five runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 7-6 to Ider on Thursday at Choccolocco. Wetumpka 12U All Stars closed the gap by scoring on a single, a double, a fly out, and a .

Ider got on the board in the top of the first inning after Landon T singled, scoring two runs, and a steal of home scored one run.

Rj T hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the first for the Wetumpka 12U All Stars.

Ider added one run in the third. Joe C grounded out, making the score 4-1.

Andrew P led things off on the mound for Wetumpka 12U All Stars. The pitcher gave up four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three. Wetumpka 6U All Stars Rally Past Chelsea Black, 23-17

The Wetumpka 6U All Stars put together an impressive offensive performance Thursday at Oxford Lake, defeating Chelsea All Stars Black 23-17 in a back-and-forth battle that featured 64 combined hits.

Wetumpka was led by William B, who drove in four runs on four hits. William tripled in the fourth inning to score two runs, tripled again in the third inning to bring home another run, and added an RBI single in the second. Luke also drove in four runs as the Wetumpka lineup produced hits throughout the game.

The game featured several momentum swings. Chelsea Black jumped ahead early, but Wetumpka responded in the bottom of the third inning with seven runs on 10 hits to take a 16-10 lead. The biggest hit of the inning came from Gabriel, who delivered a two-run double.

Chelsea answered immediately in the top of the fourth, scoring seven runs on 11 hits to reclaim a 17-16 advantage. Christian highlighted the rally with a three-run triple.

Wetumpka had one final response left. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the All Stars exploded for seven more runs on eight hits to retake the lead for good at 23-17. William delivered the biggest hit of the inning, driving in two runs with a triple.

Offensively, Wetumpka collected an astounding 33 hits. Gabriel, Morris, Trent Y., Beckett L., Bennett R., Ryan, Kaydin A., Jackson M., and Henry H. all recorded multiple-hit games. The team also turned a double play and played flawless defense. William led the defensive effort with seven plays.
Chelsea Black also had a strong offensive showing, finishing with 31 hits. Finn led Chelsea with six RBIs while going 3-for-3 at the plate. Finn, Jude M., Sammy, Sutton, Christian, Rowen, Asher S., and Ethan S. each collected three hits for Chelsea.

In the end, Wetumpka’s relentless offense and ability to answer every Chelsea rally proved to be the difference. The All Stars’ 33-hit performance, combined with timely extra-base hits from William and Gabriel, powered Wetumpka to a hard-fought 23-17 victory.
