Today marks one year since the restoration of our historic Coca-Cola mural on Company Street, and what better way to celebrate than with a little extra fizz?

This project has always been about more than restoring a mural. It’s about partnership, preservation, and believing that the history of our downtown is worth investing in.

And now, one year later, we’re incredibly proud to share that this project has been recognized with a Main Street Alabama Excellence in Public/Private Partnership Award!

That recognition belongs to the incredible partners who made it possible:

The Griers & The Bertarellis, the property owners
Coca-Cola / Montgomery Coca-Cola Bottling Company
Skip Bondur and Logan Flint, Muralists
Main Street Wetumpka

Four partners. One vision. One historic mural brought back to life.

We are so grateful to everyone who believed this piece of Wetumpka’s history deserved another chapter, and to everyone who has stopped to take a picture, shared a memory, or simply smiled when they passed it.

One year later, the mural is still telling its story. And we’re pretty proud to be part of it.

Here’s to preserving the past, celebrating the present, and continuing to invest in the future of Downtown Wetumpka.

For more than 80 years, this little shop has been a part of life in our community, serving generations of fishermen, river lovers, and folks who simply know that a trip to Stoddard’s is a trip down memory lane.

🏈 INDIAN NATION, IT’S TIME TO SHOW UP! 🖤💛

Join us TONIGHT at 6 p.m. at the Elmore County Courthouse for the Downtown Pep Rally as we come together to celebrate our Wetumpka Indians!

Come out and enjoy performances from WHS Cheer, Dance, and the Pride of the Tribe Band, along with recognition of our middle school and youth football and cheer teams.

Then tomorrow night, the Indians take the field for their FIRST HOME GAME of the season! Let’s carry that hometown pride into the stadium and PACK THE STANDS in black and gold! 🏈

Tonight, we rally. Tomorrow, we cheer them on to victory!

Remember that exciting news we teased this morning? Well… we can finally spill the sauce! 🍝🇮🇹

We had lunch today at downtown’s newest restaurant, Bridge Street Kitchen & Pasta, and it was so much fun seeing familiar faces, meeting the staff, and chatting with the owners about all the exciting things they have in store.

We’re so excited to officially welcome them to the neighborhood!

Bridge St. Kitchen & Pasta will officially open for normal hours next Tuesday (9/8) serving lunch and dinner from 11 AM–8 PM. Then, starting next Thursday, they’ll be adding late-night hours Thursday-Saturday from 8 PM until… 👀

So, if you happen to be wandering around downtown this week, stop by, say hello, grab a bite, and help us give Bridge St. Kitchen & Pasta a big Wetumpka welcome!
