Our one-of-a-kind C.A.T.S. Resale Shop has been open since 1995, where 100% of the proceeds go directly to help homeless animals. Whether purchasing goods or donating items, you’re making a difference in the life of a homeless animal. Every time you shop at our store or make a donation, you’re helping to provide food, shelter, and medical care for our rescued animals. New donations arrive daily – you never know what you’ve missed! Please consider donating to our resale shop. Donations of brand-new and gently-used items can be donated during shop. Please do not leave any donations unattended outside. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful donations we receive for the C.A.T.S. Resale/Thrift Shop! 🛍️❤️ Your donations help us raise funds to support the stray, abandoned, sick, and injured animals in our community. 🐱🐾

Because our shop and storage space are limited, we kindly ask that all donations be clean, current, and in excellent, sellable condition. Items we cannot sell must be disposed of at a cost to C.A.T.S., taking funds away from the animals we help.

✨ DONATION GUIDELINES ✨

👗 Women’s Clothing, Shoes & Handbags: Excellent condition, current in style & seasonal.

🛍️ All Items: Clean and free of chips, cracks, stains, damage & excessive wear.

🍳 Cookware: Excellent condition with no scratches or burns.

🍽️ Dishware: No chips, scratches or cracks & must be donated in sets.

🚫 WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT:
• VCRs/VCR tapes
• Computers, printers, TVs & telephones
• Personalized items/company mugs
• Glasses unless in sets of 4+
• Stuffed animals unless new with tags
• Puzzles & games unless new
• Children’s items unless new
• Books & magazines
• Greeting cards from other charities

❤️ A good rule of thumb: If you wouldn’t buy it for yourself or give it to a friend, please don’t donate it. The better the quality, the more we can raise for the animals!

🩷🐾 Meet Augusta, Birdie & Palmer! 🐾🩷

From a bad situation in Newark to safe, loved, and thriving in foster care. 🥹❤️

Augusta was practically a teenager herself when she became a mama, caring for her two young kittens, Birdie and Palmer. Despite everything this little family went through, all three are incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate. Now that they’re safe, their individual personalities are really starting to shine. 🏡💕🐱

🐦💗 Birdie certainly lives up to her name! This little girl is always “flying” through the air and jumping after her favorite wand toy. 🪶😹 She’s super playful, loves spending time with the other cats, and when playtime is over, she’s more than happy to snuggle up with her favorite human. ❤️ Birdie is the perfect combination of playful energy and sweetness!

🤎🐾 Palmer, our beautiful tortie girl, is a little more reserved than her sister, but she has such a loving personality. She’s playful, loves being held and cuddled, and has an especially sweet habit of grooming both her sister and her mama. 🥹💕 She may take things at her own pace, but once she’s comfortable, Palmer is an absolute lovebug.

🌸🐱 Augusta is the laid-back mama of the group. She loves nothing more than sitting beside her foster mama, getting lots of pets, and having a good conversation — because this girl is very talkative! 😻💬 Her favorite spot is the windowsill, where she can relax and watch the world go by. 🪟☀️ And once her energetic babies have finally worn themselves out, that’s when Augusta decides it’s her turn to play! 😂🐾

After having such a difficult start, Augusta, Birdie, and Palmer are finally getting to enjoy the safe and happy lives they always deserved. ❤️ Now they’re ready for the next chapter — finding their forever homes! 🏡✨

💕🐾 These sweet girls can be adopted as a pair or all three can stay together! If one is adopted individually, she must go to a home with other cat-friendly pets so she’ll still have the companionship she enjoys. 🐱🐾❤️

🩷🐾 Meet Mary! 🐾🩷

Sometimes all it takes is one act of kindness to change a life. ❤️

Sweet Mary, approximately 2 years old, was left behind when her owners moved away. 💔 Pregnant and alone, she was forced to fend for herself.

This past March, we received a call from a caring family in Paterson. Their neighbor had moved and abandoned Mary outside. Thankfully, the family’s front door was slightly open, allowing Mary to find shelter just in time. 🥹🏡 Instead of giving birth alone in the cold, she safely delivered her kittens right there in their hallway. ❤️🐾

Just two days later, Mary and her babies were safely in the care of Caring About The Strays, where they received the love and care they deserved. 💕🐱

Mary was an amazing mama to Tony, Giuseppe, and Isabella — and we’re so happy to share that all three of her babies have now been adopted together! 🥹🏡🐾❤️

Now it’s Mary’s turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. 🩷✨

Mary is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet. Simply call her name, and she’ll come right over, happily flop onto her side, and soak up all the love and attention you have to give. 🥹💕 She loves being talked to and will even “talk” right back, making every conversation with her feel extra special. 😻💬

Mary is affectionate, gentle, and would make an incredible companion for anyone looking for a loyal best friend. ❤️🐾 She also enjoys the company of other cats and would be happy to have a feline friend in her forever home. 🐱💕

Mary has not yet been tested with dogs. 🐶

They’ll get to start this next chapter side by side, with all the love, comfort, playtime, and snuggles they deserve. 🏡✨

🐾 Meet Leo & Soot! 🤎🖤

Leo and Soot are two handsome young indoor-only cats looking for a loving new home. Sadly, their current guardian’s allergies have become progressively worse despite medication, making the difficult decision to find them a new family necessary. 💔

🤎 Leo is a neutered Bengal/tabby mix born in November 2023 and weighs approximately 11 lbs. He is a very active boy who enjoys attention.

Leo has experience around children and dogs and generally prefers to simply walk away or keep to himself. He has also been introduced to new cats in the past and adjusted well to them. 🐱

🖤 Soot is a neutered black kitty born in November 2024 and weighs approximately 8.5 lbs. He can be a little shy at first, but he loves to play once he feels comfortable. 🥰

Soot has not been around dogs or children, so we don’t yet know how he would respond to them. He does, however, do very well with other cats. 🐾

🩺 Both boys are fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccines, and SNAP tested negative.

💕 Leo & Soot enjoy playing together and will sometimes curl up and sleep together, too. They already share a special friendship, and we would love to see these sweet boys find a safe, loving home together where they can thrive.
