PFA Membership
We’re excited for another great school year and look forward to supporting our student-athletes throughout the year!
The Parents for Athletes Organization (PFA) Annual Membership Registration link is below. Your membership plays an important role in supporting our athletes at Emerson Jr./Sr. High School.
Family Membership — Only $35
One of the great benefits of being a PFA member:
PFA members receive FREE admission to all home winter athletic events
Senior Families — Scholarship Eligibility
For your child to be considered for one of our 5 PFA scholarships, the family MUST be a PFA member AND volunteer at one of our PFA events.
We continue to offer grants to all of our sports programs. In order for a team to qualify for a grant, they must have a certain percentage of PFA members on their team.
That means your membership directly supports our student-athletes and helps put funding back into our athletic programs.
Every membership makes a difference. Thank you for supporting our athletes, coaches, and Emerson athletics.
Join the PFA today and help us make this a great year for our student-athletes!

Emerson: 2
Rutherford: 1
The Emerson Cavos traveled to take on a tough and aggressive Rutherford squad on their Senior Night in a hard-fought battle from the opening whistle.
Nate Caiola delivered a beautiful throw-in that Ryan Dauble settled before beating the keeper to put the Cavos on top, 1-0! Rutherford answered with a penalty kick to even the score at 1-1 heading into halftime.
Emerson earned a penalty of its own, and Dauble stepped up to the spot and calmly drove the ball straight up the middle to reclaim the lead at 2-1. The Cavos held on to secure a hard-fought road victory!
Unfortunately, the win came with a heartbreaking moment as captain and senior Ryan Leone suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first half. Ryan has been an incredible leader for this team, and while we are devastated that he won't be able to finish out the season on the field, the boys will be playing for him every game from here on out. Get better soon, Ryan! We miss you more than you know, and the boys have your back every step of the way!
Wednesday, October 7
Emerson: 4
Garfield: 0
The Cavos put together a dominant performance against Garfield, earning a 4-0 shutout victory with contributions from all over the field!
Ryan Dauble opened the scoring with a beautiful finish over the keeper to put Emerson up 1-0.
Dauble then delivered another dangerous throw-in, finding Owen Blanken, who hammered home the finish to double the Cavos' lead, 2-0!
Dauble continued to make things happen, playing a perfect ball to Mason Arbey-Rivera, who finished brilliantly over the keeper and into the back of the net to make it 3-0 Emerson.
The Cavos weren't done yet! Brayden Blanken sent a long ball across the field to find Dauble, who chipped the keeper with a fantastic finish to complete the scoring at 4-0!
Four goals, a clean sheet, and a complete team performance. The Cavos get it done against Garfield and continue building momentum!

Fair Lawn: 1
The Emerson Cavos entered the Bergen County Tournament as the 11th seed and faced a tough Group 4 opponent in Fair Lawn in the first round. The boys rose to the occasion, earning a huge 2-1 victory to advance to the next round!
Emerson came out firing, as Owen Worthington found the back of the net within the first five minutes to give the Cavos an early 1-0 lead. Fair Lawn responded aggressively after halftime, finding the equalizer in the opening minute of the second half to make it 1-1.
But the Cavos had an answer! John Kennedy played a great ball to Worthington, who curled a beautiful finish into the back of the net to put Emerson ahead 2-1. The Cavos held their ground from there to seal the tournament victory!
Worthington was a force all over the pitch, helping Emerson maintain its edge in a hard-fought battle.
Meanwhile, Brayden Blanken and the Emerson defense locked things down in the back, with Blanken recording nine saves to help secure the win!
The Cavos advance to the second round of the Bergen County Tournament and will travel to face Tenafly on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Let's keep this run going! Come out and show your support! ❤️⚽🖤

Saturday , October 10th - CAVO CUP
What a way to wrap up the week! Our girls hosted the annual Cavo Cup today, and they left it all on the court. The team was up bright and early, arriving at school by 7:30 AM to get ready, and fought hard through a marathon day of tennis that wrapped up after 4 PM. It was a long, exhausting day, but their energy and team spirit never faded. So incredibly proud of their amazing effort and non-stop hustle today!
