🌟 Meet the President Monday 🌟

This week, we're proud to introduce Mark Kirk, President of the Rotary Club of White Sulphur Springs!

A dedicated Rotarian since 1996, Mark is a Past President and Paul Harris Fellow who has spent decades embracing Rotary's mission of service. His passion for helping others and strengthening his community continues to inspire those around him.

Mark is a 1992 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and has proudly practiced dentistry in White Sulphur Springs for the past 30 years. Beyond his profession, he is deeply committed to serving his community through sponsoring local youth sports and activities, leading a weekly Bible study at a local nursing home, and actively serving through his church.

As he begins his year as club president, Mark is focused on bringing fresh energy, new ideas, and renewed excitement to the Rotary Club of White Sulphur Springs. His primary goals are to increase membership and strengthen fundraising efforts, allowing the club to expand its ability to provide financial support and assistance where it is needed most throughout the community.

Mark believes that growing Rotary's reach and resources will help the club make an even greater impact across the area while continuing to uphold Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self.

💙 Thank you, Mark, for your years of dedication to Rotary and your continued commitment to improving the lives of others in White Sulphur Springs and beyond!

💜🖐️ Show Us Your Purple Pinky on World Polio Day! 🖐️💜

Did you know the purple pinky is a powerful symbol in the fight to end polio?

During polio immunization campaigns around the world, a child's finger is marked with purple ink after receiving the vaccine. This simple mark helps ensure every child is counted, protected, and not missed during vaccination efforts.

On October 24, World Polio Day, join Rotary District 7545 in raising awareness and supporting Rotary's mission to End Polio Now:

💜 Paint your pinky purple
📸 Post a photo on social media
👥 Challenge 3 friends and fellow Rotarians to do the same
💵 Challenge them to make a donation to PolioPlus, Rotary's program dedicated to eradicating polio worldwide
🏷️ Tag your club and use

Because of Rotary's commitment and the support of our global partners, polio has been reduced by more than 99%, but until the disease is eradicated everywhere, our work is not finished.

Every purple pinky represents a child protected. Every donation helps bring us closer to a world where no parent has to fear polio ever again.

Let's turn District 7545 purple this World Polio Day and show the world that together, we can End Polio Now.

World Polio Day is this Saturday! 💜

"The journey to end polio isn't finished yet, but with continued commitment, we can ensure no child ever suffers from this preventable disease again."

As Rotarians, we know that eradicating polio is one of the greatest humanitarian efforts in history. While we have made incredible progress, the fight is not over, and together we can help finish the job.

This World Polio Day, we encourage you to read Bill Gates' reflections on why ending polio remains one of the world's most important public health priorities.

We are especially grateful to have welcomed Ramesh Ferris as a speaker at our District 7545 Conference this past May. A polio survivor and tireless advocate for eradication, Ramesh's powerful story reminded us why Rotary's commitment to End Polio Now matters so much. His courage and dedication continue to inspire Rotarians around the world.

Together, we are closer than ever to a polio free world. Let's keep the momentum going and make history.
