In response to recent severe flash flooding, the Lewis County Community Foundation has launched the Lewis County Emergency Relief Fund with $20,000 in initial seed funding!

Now, we’re challenging our community to step up and help us expand these efforts. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to local nonprofits providing frontline relief to affected residents and businesses.

Representatives from community foundations across West Virginia, including Parkersburg Area Community Foundation's Jennifer Randolph, presented at last week’s WV Student Success Summit in Charleston.

During the session, they highlighted the scholarship opportunities available through community foundations across the state, helping connect more students with resources to achieve their educational goals.

📣The WV Grant Resource Centers are offering their free Grants 101 Workshop in Wood County on July 23 and in Roane County on July 24.

Participants will learn fundamentals including:
▪️Finding Grants
▪️Writing a Strong Proposal
▪️Building Partnerships
▪️Developing a Budget
▪️Identifying Matching Funds
▪️Thinking Like a Reviewer
▪️Getting Grant Ready

No prior grant writing experience is required. There is no cost for the training, but registration is required and seats are limited.

We're saddened to learn of the passing of Rod Wyman, a founding member of our Lewis County Community Foundation. His vision and generosity helped shape our cause from the very beginning.
