It’s officially Halloween.

Psa on candy .

Some kids will just grab , don’t be mean their learning
Some kids won’t speak , don’t be mean
Some kids will yell , don’t be mean
Some kids will hide behind their parents, don’t be mean
Some kids won’t come up and their parents will have too , don’t be mean
Some kids won’t be in costume , don’t be mean
Some kids won’t look at you , don’t be mean

Some “kids “ are adults with the mental capacity of a child , don’t be mean

For Special needs parents Halloween is one of the hardest days durning the year we have to explain our children and hope that people understand.

Please be nice to everyone tonight and do not by any means turn down anyone who might be struggling a bit to ask for candy .

Also can we please just let the teens have candy . They’re out having fun with friends being kids instead of doing drugs or breaking into things .

Give them the damn candy

Wow Westland you definitely showed up today .

And two huge thank yous to community free will Baptist church for hosting with us .

And Westland police department for sending the lovely officer knoppe to join us today .

Such a fun time for all

Sadly my Pollie girl had to miss out due to a headache but she got to FaceTime her friend officer knoppe and FaceTime with Batman himself so she’s happy

October is breast cancer awareness month but October 13 is metastatic breast cancer awareness day .

My mom was diagnosed at the young age of 40 and it was stage iv metastatic breast cancer from day one . She fraught hard for 4 1/2 years. Sadly that came to end quickly early April 2019 when she went into the hospital the week of April of 8th 2019 for her weekly chemo treatment and was admitted shortly after and within days she got worst and was getting us mixed up and started to stop talking and the Thursday after was in hospice. the whole family had to say goodbye . We lost her the early hours of Good Friday April 19th 2019 .

Metastatic breast cancer is always considered advanced stage IV breast cancer because it has spread (metastasized) to different organs or lymph nodes far from the breast. The most common areas of the body that cells may spread to are the brain, bones, liver and lungs.

The 5-year relative survival rate for women with metastatic breast cancer in the U.S. is 30%. The 5-year survival rate for men with metastatic breast cancer is 19%. The survival rates for metastatic breast cancer vary based on several factors. Based on these results we wouldn't have had much more time with her anyway .

Hey Everyone I’m Erica and I’m the “ Brains “ behind this nonprofit.

mom of two with my youngest being on the spectrum.

This whole idea came from her and her love for police officers and fire fighters .

She is our little mascot if you will .

Paulina “ Pollie “ if 6 years old and high functioning with epilepsy, PICA AND trichotillomania. but that doesn’t stop her from being oh so sassy lol

Blake “ bug” is 14 years old and has a minor learning disability and adhd

I myself have some medical issues but stable .

We have two puppies and two cats who we love so much and I have the most amazing and supportive boyfriend I could ever ask for .

I run my own event and wedding planning business Moonlight Bridal Bliss

And have well over 15 years experience in Childcare related to Autism due to my brother also being in the spectrum but lower end of it among the multiple children on the spectrum that I’ve cared for over the years .

We can not wait to bring this to life

- i am a single mom to two boys on the spectrum, ages 2 and 4
- ihave been an EMT since I was 18, almost 7 years
- i am currently in school for radiology
- i enjoy reading books, particularly thrillers
- i’m very passionate about spreading awareness and kindness around individuals with autism and other disabilities
