A little rain not stopping the flagging of our veterans graves.

On Saturday May 9th, we will be putting up brand new US flag in the veterans graves in 2 Westford cemeteries: Catherine’s Cemetery on Pine Ridge Rd starting at 8AM; then moving the Fairview Cemetery located at the corner of Main St and Tadmuck Rd.

Anyone is free to join us.

If a grave is inadvertently missed being flagged, please notify the town’s Cemetery or Veterans Services department so it can be remedied before Memorial Day.

Members of the Frederick S. Healy American Legion Post 159 will be placing flags on the graves of veterans in the town of Westford, Massachusetts cemeteries this week. We will be doing St. Catherines and Fairview on Saturday, May 9th. On the 9th, we will be starting at St. Catherines at 8AM, once finished there we will move on to Fairview. Feel free to join us that day.

If for some reason a veterans grave is missed, please contact the Westford Veterans Services Department at 978-392-1170 and provide the veterans name and what cemetery.

Our regular post meeting is to be held this Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Post, 2 Cross St., Westford, MA. Hope to see you there.

A date to put on the calendar:
Memorial Day services in the Town of Westford will be held on Sunday, May 24th, 2026 on the Town Common. The federal observation is Monday, May 25th.

Flags on veterans graves to be scheduled, probably Saturday May 9th in the AM.
