We love welcoming visitors from near and far, but Alaska is pretty hard to beat! ✈️
A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Ralph and Diana, who traveled all the way from Palmer, Alaska (about one hour northeast of Anchorage) to visit family in the Westerville area, spend some time exploring our city, and then take an Ohio adventure of a different kind: riding the Ohio to Erie Trail from Westerville to Cleveland!
Before setting out, Ralph amd Diana needed a place to store their bikes overnight, and Visit Westerville was happy to help! We tucked their bikes away at COhatch Westerville on Saturday night and on Sunday morning they stopped back by to pick them up before hitting the trail and heading north 🚲
And, they made it!! We loved getting the second photo from them after they reached Cleveland and Lake Erie.
The Ohio to Erie Trail stretches more than 300 miles across Ohio, connecting the Ohio River in Cincinnati to Lake Erie in Cleveland, and (the coolest part) it travels right through our beloved Westerville!
Whether Westerville is your destination, an overnight stop, or a place to hop off the trail for a few hours to eat, shop and explore, we love welcoming cyclists from near and very, very far! 😊
