We had an awesome crew out clearing sticks, rocks, and shrubs at the GRiT (Girls Riding Together) Garden location so it’s ready for planting on 6/7. 🌻

We’ve got native flowers, a picnic table, a sign, and a bench planned for the area. Huge thank you to COMBO and ODNR for making this project possible. ❤️

Want to join the fun? Meet at the Phase 2 parking lot at 2PM on 6/7 for a pollinator talk from ODNR, then stick around to help with planting and putting the finishing touches on the project.

All are welcome 💚🌸🌲

Mohican 100 was once again a huge day on the bike. It started with beautiful weather and perfect trail conditions. Then, about three hours in, thunderstorms rolled into the area. Heavy rains turned some of the trails and logging roads into mush. The rocks and bridges were very slippery. Our student athletes and coaches had to summon all their technical skills and grit to navigate and survive the course.

Lost in the Woods had several riders get on the podium on a day when just finishing was a challenge. Colin Kirkpatrick finished 14th overall in the 100-Mile and beat most of the adults. Lucas Gassman, 100k, Mikes Esber, 50k, and Elli Della Rocco, 50k, also had strong podium finishes.

What a day! Already planning for next year!

On last night’s Monday Funday ride, we worked on “line choice” - different ways to ride the same section of trail. Picking good lines can lead to faster, safer, & more efficient ways to ride the trail. Or, pick the hard line and push your skill set. Ultimately, it’s up to the rider to pick a line that works best for their skill & fitness level. But step number one is thinking about it in the first place. Shred on!

was a big day. It’s the largest gravel race in Ohio with almost 800 racers this year. Temps hovered in the low 40s with scattered light rain. The climbs were tough and descents were fast & technical. Riders hit speeds over 40mph maneuvering the twisty gravel-strewn roads. Colin, Lucas and Julian, plus several LITW coaches took on the challenge and crushed it!

Barry Roubaix was an epic adventure this year that taught our riders grit. The year’s gravel bike race was cold and damp. The gravel roads kicked up sand, and our finishers were all covered from head to toe in dirt. This is one of the largest gravel races in America, thousands of riders. LITW even got a few on the podium! Congrats to Ayla, Taiga (Cleveland Cycling Academy), Axel Farnham (Grandview Bobcats), and Coach Stephenie. You represented Ohio well in a race that had people traveling from all across the country.

Way to go Colin!

Way to go Colin!

16-year-old Colin Kirkpatrick was the youngest finisher at the Cohutta 100 placing 9th in the Men’s Open, 9:03:20
reminiscent of young 16-year-old racer, Dylan Johnson, who crashed out at Cohutta chasing Jeremiah Bishop but went on to become the youngest ever NUE Series Champion at age 21.

We had our first two club rides of 2026 and they were a big success! Stoke was high. Plenty of coach support. These rides are aimed at returning riders who want to get a head start on the upcoming NICA season. We started with a 60-minute adventure and we add 15 minutes of fun to each practice until we’re pedaling for 2 hours. It’s a fun excuse to hang out with shred friends!
