Say hello to miss Trixie. 👋💜

Trixie came to us a couple weeks ago for veterinary care through our friends over at West Warwick Animal Shelter. Trixie had been surrendered to them recently and had a really sad story honestly. Her life-long feline companion had passed away and Trixie became very depressed. As Trixie grieved, she stopped eating and her body began to shutdown. Her owner could not afford vet care and was honest with the shelter that they were not capable of providing the care that she needed.

West Warwick Animal Shelter brought her to us immediately for diagnostics and answers. She was jaundice and barely moving. 😔 Her bloodwork results were off the charts. Her liver enzymes were extremely elevated. We were very concerned for Trixie. Dr. Lorenson basically told us a feeding tube would be her only chance and even then she has seen cats go both ways, some recover completely while others don't. And it can be a long process.

We had a long discussion with animal control and decided it would be in Trixies best interest to transfer her to us and they would be supportive in any way that they could. Our shelter manager Becky became very fond of Trixie and decided to take on her care. Which is no easy task and requires pretty intense supportive care. But if you know Becky, you know she's awesome like that.

Dr. Lorenson came in on one of her Saturdays off, because she's awesome like that too, and placed the feeding tube. Trixie has a long road ahead of her and as long as we see fight in her, we will fight with her. 💜🐾

We have been doing an exceptional job finding homes for some of our long-term residents and we hope to keep the streak going. 🤞 Chewy has come a long way since first joining us. He used to be a pretty big punk. 😜 And although he can still have his fresh moments he has really matured and is really the biggest mush. Can you help us share him?

This handsome boy is full of affection, curiosity, and conversation—he's never short on things to say and is always ready to share his thoughts with you!

Chewy adores people and can't get enough attention. He wants to be wherever you are—following you from room to room, supervising your daily activities, chatting away, or soaking up every pet and scratch you're willing to give. If you're looking for a cat who truly enjoys being part of your day, Chewy is your guy. And let's be honest... Tyra Banks would definitely approve of his camera-ready smize skills, too!

Chewy is looking for a home where he can truly thrive. Like many Siamese cats, he is intelligent, active, and needs plenty of enrichment and mental stimulation. He would love a home where he has room to roam, places to explore, interactive toys, and people who enjoy engaging with him.

While Chewy is affectionate with people, he would do best as the only cat in the home. Living with many other cats has been a lot of social interaction for him, and we believe he would be happiest in a home where he can relax, have his own space, and soak up all the attention from his people. He wants to be your one and only feline superstar! He also should not be with small children as he can get overstimulated at times.

At 4 months old, Siren has already lived enough life to fill a novel—and she’s managed to become a celebrity along the way. 🐱✨

Siren was trapped outside after spending the first 3.5 months of her life with very little contact with humans. You might think that would make her timid, but Siren quickly made it clear that she is a brave girl with some very strong opinions! 😂 She even became an overnight internet sensation when a video of her went viral. Apparently, Siren has been waiting for her big break.

While new environments can make her a little nervous at first, Siren adjusts surprisingly quickly once she realizes she’s somewhere safe. And once she’s comfortable? Get ready for the purrs. She absolutely adores attention and pets and will start purring almost immediately when you give her some love. ❤️

Siren is also completely obsessed with other cats. She loves having feline friends and would be thrilled to be adopted with one of her foster friends—Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, or Si—or into a home with another playful cat who would love a best friend. 🐾

Because she can be a little cautious when things are new, Siren would prefer a quieter home without young children where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace.

She may have started life with humans wondering what exactly she was all about, but Siren has made her opinion very clear:

People are pretty great… especially when they come bearing pets.
