The Grief Support Circle invites you to a Free Grief Seminar, hosted by The Compassionate Friends of Central Iowa on:

National presenter and author Nate McClendon will share personal insights, understanding, and words of hope for those grieving the loss of a loved one.

Whether your loss is recent or many years past—or you’re supporting someone who is grieving—you are welcome. Come as you are and find a compassionate, supportive space for reflection and connection.

Light refreshments will be provided, and Nate McClendon’s books will be available for purchase.

Some losses happen before we get the chance to bring our babies home. Some happen after we have briefly held them in our arms. And sometimes we do not even have the chance for that. No matter when the loss occurs, the love is there and so is the grief.

Pregnancy and infant loss can be deeply isolating. Milestones, due dates, holidays, and everyday moments can bring waves of grief that others may not see.

If you are grieving the death of a baby, you don't have to navigate that grief alone. The Compassionate Friends offers connection, understanding, and support for bereaved families.

This month and always, we remember the lives that changed us forever.

This really works for our son’s and daughter’s. I know I look at the pictures and think, I don’t get to make anymore with him. These are all I have.
