AAI appreciated the opportunity to moderate a discussion with Iowa Corn, Iowa Soybean Association and Iowa Renewable Fuels Association on the challenges and opportunities facing Iowa agriculture. 🚨 IRFA is urging EPA to protect renewable fuels demand.

EPA granted 29 refinery exemptions for the 2025 compliance year, putting nearly 1 billion gallons of renewable fuels demand at risk.

IRFA is calling for 100% reallocation of the exempted volumes and clear action to protect the historic 2026–2027 RFS blending levels.

New USDA guidelines could help farmers get more value from conservation practices like cover crops, no-till and better nutrient management.

By recognizing how these practices can reduce the carbon intensity of crops used to make biofuels, farmers could have new opportunities in the growing biofuels market.

That’s a win for Iowa agriculture and renewable fuels. 🌽⛽
