One day you'll pick your child up and carry them for the last time.

You won't know it's the last time when it happens.

That's why moments matter.

As parents, we spend so much time rushing from one thing to the next that it's easy to forget how quickly these years go by. Then a night like our crossover and advancement ceremony comes along, and we're reminded just how much our children have grown.

The little Lion who was nervous to meet new friends is now confidently standing with their den. The Scout who once needed help setting up a tent is teaching someone else how to do it. Year after year, we watch these kids grow into capable, caring, and confident young people.

Scouting gives us something priceless: time together.

Campfires. Fishing trips. Hikes. Pinewood Derbies. Pack meetings. Laughing with friends. Watching your child try something new and discover they can do more than they thought possible.

These aren't just activities. They're memories. They're the stories we'll tell years from now when our children are grown.

What an amazing night for Cub Scout Pack 266!

On the first Monday of June, we celebrated one of our favorite traditions as every Scout moved up to their next rank level. Lions became Tigers, Tigers became Wolves, Wolves became Bears, Bears became Webelos, and Webelos became Arrow of Light Scouts. Last April, our Arrow of Light Scouts crossed over into their Scouts BSA troops, beginning the next chapter of their Scouting journey.

Watching these young people grow in confidence, leadership, skills, and friendships is what Scouting is all about. We couldn't be more proud of everything they accomplished this year!

And here's the best part: NOW is the perfect time to join Pack 266. The fun doesn't stop when school lets out. From summertime adventures to pack activities and outdoor fun, there are plenty of opportunities to jump in and start making memories right away.
