“Soldier On” changing the end of the story for Homeless Veterans. We at VFW Post 9544 are proud to support the Soldier On organization. We invite you to join us this weekend at our fundraiser for Soldier On as we Stuff the Bus!

We are giving this fully renovated handicap accessible bus to the homeless veterans at “Soldier On” our neighbors in Agawam. Please help us Stuff the Bus with items they need. Bring your donations to us this Saturday 11-5pm. And view the Freedom 250 Truck while you visit.

Exciting news! Join us and celebrate American independence!

The Freedom 250 Truck will be in West Suffield, Connecticut, from June 5 to June 7, 2026 at the VFW 9544 located at 972 Sheldon Street.

The museum will be open
Friday 12-7p
Saturday 10a - 5p
Sunday 10a - 5p

This Freedom 250 Truck is one of six trucks traveling throughout the country. It's a double-wide 18-wheeler mobile museum that travels across the country to bring the story of American independence directly to communities. Inside, you can see an AI-powered George Washington portrait that comes to life, take a "Loyalist or Patriot?" quiz, and sign a digital copy of the Declaration of Independence.

The museum experience also features exhibits on the battles for independence and the journey to fulfill the Declaration's promise, concluding with a wall of 50 American heroes ranging from Rosa Parks and Mark Twain to the Wright Brothers and Aretha Franklin. It is a great way to explore our nation's history firsthand.

On July 4, 1776, we declared our independence. The United States of America is rich with history as we fought from being subjects of a King to being citizens of our amazing and beautiful country.

It's a great family experience. This particular Freedom 250 Truck will continue on to RI, MA and NH.
