Today marks the last day of school and a summer of possibilities!

Congratulations to our 5th graders who are moving on to new schools in the next year. We're so proud of you and we're going to miss seeing everyone! While they will no longer be at DSE they'll always be part of our fox family 🧡 We wish them the best with their new adventures! 🦊

Visiting author, Sherri Maret, donated a copy of her newest book "The Twelve Days of Spring" to Desert Sky Elementary's library. 🦊

It will be available for check-out in the fall.  Bring it home and find the message she wrote to Desert Sky students on the title page!

Last Friday (5/30), we were able to host a "bonus" staff appreciation event with the theme of, "Learning can be MESSY, but you make it FUN!"

Thanks to and , DSE staff received free packs of Huggies wipes for their classrooms, and got to enjoy a "Dirty Soda Bar" with fox-themed recipes! There were also "messy" and "clean" cupcakes, and cookies to enjoy.

Happy - almost - summer, everyone - and to DSE staff, thanks for being such great sports at our photo booth!

Yesterday (6/3) we had the extra recess and popsicle party for all three the first-grade classes who won the "Food Fight" Food Drive! 🍭

Students from Mrs. Deskins, Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Tunnell's classes braved the raindrops to enjoy a sweet treat and some extra fun time outside! 

Thank you again to everyone who donated to help make the food drive a success.  We couldn't have done it without you!

On Monday, "The Zaniac" - Alex Zerbe - wowed Desert Sky students and staff with his science, comedy, and juggling-filled antics! We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time ringing in the final full week of school!
