This Saturday’s regular monthly meeting has been cancelled…all regular business will be moved to our following meeting on Saturday November 7 at 5:00 pm…see you then!

Exciting news…the first section between town & the Route 16 crossing (2.8 miles) will be completed for this Winter…our thanks again to the folks at our local trails bureau for the bulk of the machinery & manpower and of course the Friends of the Conway Branch Rail Trail for spearheading this long awaited improvement to a section of Corridor 19…👍

SEPTEMBER CLUB MEETING:

Our first meeting of the 26/27 season will be this Saturday September 12 at 5:00 pm…back this season at the Tamworth Town House @ 27 Cleveland Hill Road in Tamworth…due to a prior commitment our meeting this month will be held upstairs…hope to see you there!

PRESIDENTS DAY on Corridor 19 today somewhere north of town…OVSC President Skip C. teamed up with Friends of the Conway Branch Rail Trail President Phil V. to spread mulch along a freshly seeded and graded section of the expanded trail that is initially running from Town north several miles to the Route 16 crossing just south of Newman Drew Road…this section is coming out very nice and will making grooming this stretch much easier come Winter…the OVSC continues to work closely with the Rail Trail folks and Bureau of Trails to expand up to 21 miles of Corridor 19 to a true four season system for the enjoyment of many more folks looking to recreate outdoors…

PROJECT 1 DONE:

With the help of several volunteers Trailmaster Mark F. reports the first bridge project of the season has been completed…a complete replacement out on Ryan’s Hill Trail in Tamworth…check back soon as we will need more volunteers for some upcoming projects as well…
