Our Peer Growth + Lifelong Learning (PGLL) came together for a program wide potluck to celebrate the end of summer. The room was filled with friendship, smiles and laughter as we made new teeshirts and got a few new temporary tattoos, all while Steve serenaded us with his best Frank Sinatra.

With the support of Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, sisters, Grace and Faith were able to experience the feeling of being on the open water in a kayak for the first time ever. I think it's safe to say, this won't be their last time. Faith absolutely loved being out on the water and said, "This is my favorite place to go!"

UVS's Peer Mentor, stopped by Grace's apartment after her first few weeks of living independently to see how things have been going. Grace said she loves living in the village because she can walk to work and ice cream is always just around the corner. What she's most looking forward to is having friends over for a diner party.

Last week the Life Skills class in Bradford headed to The Wash Cycle Laundromat. Participants learned how to read clothing labels, operate the machines, how to separate clothes to keep their whites white, and how to fold their clothes as well as a fitted sheet. I think we all struggle with the last one. 🤣😂

With the support of the our Moretown Peer Growth + Lifelong Learning (PGLL) program was able to spend the day learning about macroinvertebrate. After some classroom work, the group headed to the river to release a few specimens and to explore the 28 acre campus.
