I wanted to come here and say thanks to everybody for another amazing year. We implemented some great new means to get things done in a more efficient manner paving the way for future growth. We’ve officially formed the New England Homebrewers jamboree has a nonprofit allowing us to structure that future growth so big things are certainly coming.
And on a personal note, some of you may know or we may have talked at the event, but I am dealing with a pretty serious health issue. Something hasn’t been right for quite some time, and I remains persistent and advocating for a solution to discover I have a metabolic disorder that has effectively destroyed my liver, resulting in my needing of a transplant. That damn liver tried to stop me by delivering a phone call to me from Beth Israel Hospital asking me to come check myself in , but fortunately, I was able to coordinate with my team here and maintain vital checks and lab work up there at the event which allowed me to see it through. I did have to leave and head straight down and admit myself after the event. It’s been a world win since I got here and lots of ups and downs, but they’ve decided to push me through the process, and I am officially being put in front of the transplant board tomorrow with very strong recommendations to approve and add me to the list. It looks like I’ll be staying here until I get the liver and then my second chance life begins… I think everyone for the support and encouragement and love that was given at the jamboree, it definitely keeps me going every day. I appreciate all the help of the amazing volunteers and vendors and Brewers and campground management, family and friends and everyone that had my back all weekend… You guys are all amazing. Brianna or I will keep everyone posted over the next few weeks as I go through the process, but in the meantime, I do encourage everyone to take a minute if you haven’t done so already and register to be an organ donor… if you need more information, you can also read up about it here, but you can certainly save a life. Love you all and look forward to next year…. see you on the flipside!
