The Sigma Alpha Beta Chapter offers its members a social sorority experience with added professional development. Like most sororities, we have weekly chapter meetings where we plan and discuss upcoming events and activities, participate in philanthropy and service events, take part in social events with other organizations, and grow in sisterhood every chance we get. Unlike other chapters, we do
not own a house and therefore do not have live-in requirements. We are also built on an agricultural foundation. Though most members are in an agriculture major, only a background or love for agriculture is required. The majority of our on-campus events are related to agriculture: Spring Fest, Ag Week Lemonade Shake-Ups, Breaking New Ground (our philanthropy organization). Additionally, we offer all our members incredible networking opportunities, as we have alumni in a variety of career fields. If you are a woman studying at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and are looking for a great, down-to-earth group of friends and a chance to grow professionally, consider Sigma Alpha!
