As you can see we have been a lot lazy in updating you with the information about this page and for that we apologize. Our last major success story was helping to arrange a visit to Liberia of some of our students from Purdue University along with a Liberal Arts Professor, Stacy Connaughton. That happened during the last summer before the Ebola crisis. Since then we haven't done much. However, one unstated objective of Books For Liberia all along was to build a good relationship between both the UL and PU to the extent that it would create a channel for talented students graduating from the UL to easily come to PU for graduate studies. So we were very happy when PU sent its first team of students and a Professor as part of a summer course to visit the UL.

Does anyone know if UL has began offering Mechanical and Electronic Engineering courses? We want to know if it's a good idea to send books in these areas.

We are currently collecting books for another shipment. So far response from various departments across Purdue campus has been positive as usual. Hopefully by the end of the month when we will be sending out our next shipment we will have a good count of how many books we collect.
