A $1 per acre rebate is being issued for 2025 paid acreage assessments, returning approximately $487,000 to Arkansas cotton producers.

The Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation board has approved a $1 per acre rebate for growers who paid assessments on verified 2025 cotton acres.

A total of approximately $487,000 will be returned to Arkansas cotton producers, with rebate checks expected to arrive in mailboxes by the end of April. 🌱💰

This rebate reflects the board’s continued commitment to supporting Arkansas growers while maintaining a strong boll weevil prevention program.

Last week, Executive Director Regina Coleman attended the Agricultural Council of Arkansas Annual Board of Directors Meeting, joining agricultural leaders from across the state to discuss priorities impacting Arkansas producers.

The meeting included remarks from Ag Council of Arkansas President and ABWEP Chairman Joe Mencer, U.S. Senator Tom Cotton, Fitzhugh Elder, staff director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Wes Ward, Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture, and many more. Key discussions focused on implementation and awareness of the $12 billion Farmers Bridge Assistance Program and other issues critical to Arkansas farmers.

These conversations help ensure growers have access to the resources and support needed to navigate ongoing economic and production challenges.
