Dr. Kyeshia Ward-Jordan is a proud native of Helena, Arkansas, whose passion for service, education, and community development has guided her professional and civic leadership journey. A 2014 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, she began her career as a Chemistry teacher at KIPP Delta before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Harding University, graduating in 2019.
Since returning home to Phillips County, Dr. Ward-Jordan has dedicated her career to improving healthcare access and outcomes in the Arkansas Delta. She currently serves as Pharmacy Manager for East Arkansas Family Health Center in Helena and has previously held pharmacy management positions with Dean's Pharmacy and Walmart.
Driven by a desire to expand opportunities for local youth, Dr. Ward-Jordan co-founded Helping Everyone Learn Possibilities (H.E.L.P.) in 2020 alongside her sister, Shana Scales. As Executive Director, she leads the nonprofit's mission to expose students to healthcare careers, provide mentorship, support college readiness, and increase diversity within the healthcare workforce. Through H.E.L.P., students gain hands-on experiences, professional development opportunities, and access to resources that help them envision and achieve successful futures.
A dedicated advocate for community advancement, Dr. Ward-Jordan serves on the Board of the Phillips County Branch of the Arkansas Community Foundation and is President of the Phillips County UAPB/AM&N Alumni Chapter. She is also actively involved in efforts that promote civic engagement and community growth throughout Phillips County.
Dr. Ward-Jordan is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, having been initiated into the Alpha Rho Chapter at UAPB in 2012. Her commitment to service has been recognized through community service awards from Mu Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Nancy E. Proffitt Federated Women's Club.
In addition to her professional and nonprofit work, she is the owner of Punkin's Closet and established the annual What I Can Be Scholarship in 2022 to support and encourage local students pursuing higher education.
Dr. Ward-Jordan is the daughter of Alma Rattler and the late Willie Ward Jr. She is married to Maurice Jordan, a fellow UAPB alumnus and Pine Bluff native. Together, they share a love for family, community, and travel. Through every role she serves, Dr. Ward-Jordan remains committed to empowering others, strengthening her hometown, and creating pathways for future generations.
