Our Goals:

To strengthen the arts so that it can reach its full potential as civic resource in the Delta and enhance the positive image of the area. To stimulate awareness and appreciation of the arts through changing exhibitions, lectures, classes and workshops that strengthen interpretive ability and interactive creativity for both children and adults. To establish Helena-West Helena as a preem

inent artistic community in the Delta that attracts residents and visitors to an artistic experience of diversity, uniqueness and excellence. To pursue and establish a funding structure for the arts in the Delta through civic grants and private donations. To create new opportunities for beginning, emerging and established artists in which to exhibit and develop the language of their work.

Led by students and staff from the University of Arkansas, this week-long workshop will focus on building skills for those interested in visual art and design. We’ll have fun creating and learning together! This workshop is a must for any student (ages 12-20) interested in expanding their creative skillsets and discovering creative career paths. The ADAP Board welcomes its newest member, Laura Miller! Laura received her BFA in graphic design from Memphis College of Art. She works remotely as a software engineer for Curai Health, a Telehealth company based in San Francisco, as well as teaches printmaking and typography at Phillips Community College. Her knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset to ADAP's mission to promote the arts in the Arkansas Delta. Welcome, Laura!

Arkansas Delta Arts Partnership is happy to announce Vicki Cobb as our judge for this year's art competition. Vicki received her BFA from Delta State University and her MEd from the University of Arkansas. She served as the Graphic Communications instructor and the Director of Printing Services at Phillips Community College for 25 years. She continues to create beautiful art through various media including pencil, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, and sublimation printing.
Winners will be announced Saturday, March 14, at the Delta Cultural Center's Miller Annex on Cherry Street in Helena. The reception begins at 4:00 pm. The public is invited.

This brilliant young artist is touching the lives of many through his artwork, clothing brand and recent podcasts. His murals/artwork can be seen in public schools in Memphis, TN, Coahoma Community College, areas around town and homes and businesses abroad. His name is Aikee Matthews, and he is one of our own. Today, he’s using the snow as his canvas.
