The Wendell Historical Society was recently awarded a grant of one thousand dollars to be used for outreach by the Wake County Historical Society at their annual meeting on June 1, 2026. This was done in partial recognition of the growth and changes in Eastern Wake County and the significance Wendell has had in the history of our area.

🏛️ A couple of us visited the Wake County Historical Society for their monthly meeting.🏘️ The program on the lost buildings and structures of Raleigh was absolutely fascinating. There is a book out called Lost Raleigh if this interest you. It is amazing to see how much the landscape has changed over the years! We love learning more about our regional history!
