🖤 Let’s Talk. And Keep Talking. 🏡✊🏽
Since 2023, a powerful group of people from across Wendell—different churches, backgrounds, and perspectives—have come together for something bigger than ourselves: to talk honestly about race.
We’ve shared meals, watched films, asked hard questions, and reflected deeply on bias, belonging, and what it truly means to create One Wendell—a community where every neighbor is seen, valued, and given the chance to thrive.
This work is a joint effort between Wendell United Methodist Church and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Together, we’re building something meaningful—rooted in faith, trust, and unity.
Last night, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, we took a bold step forward. Our dialogue on race and housing helped us uncover the deep roots of inequity—and challenged us to imagine a more just, inclusive future for everyone in Wendell.
This work isn’t performative.
It’s not political.
It’s personal.
It’s spiritual.
It’s necessary.
We’re not done. And we hope you'll be part of what’s next.
Let’s keep showing up.
Let’s keep listening.
Let’s keep building bridges.
For One Wendell. For all of us.
