The Millstone summer sunset (and maybe moonrise) hikes are back! We'll have our first one June 27- gather at the 44 Brook Street garage around 7:30 and head out by 7:45 for a leisurely hike up to the Grand Lookout. We'll have treats to share as we watch the sun go down and if we're lucky, we may see the Strawberry moon rising on the way back. There is no cost, and all are welcome.

It's here! Registration is now open for the 2026 MTA Summer Trail Series. Our 2026 MTB/trail run/walk series features weekly loops through the Barre Town forest, perfect for discovering new areas of our trail system. A small crew today but what an effort! We benched out a large portion of Heifer’s Pasture to allow adaptive riders even more terrain at Millstone Trails!

We're looking forward to our first trail work day this Sunday, and hope to see you too. But, if you can't make it, we have another option: Adopt-a-Trail. The Town Forest Trails are now open for the 2026 riding season! Please note that there is still some standing water in some areas so please walk your bike around those areas and avoid riding through muddy sections as well.

Upcoming Trail Workdays will be announced early next week for those interested in joining us.

What a night! So much community in the room last night as we hosted a screening of www.bestdayever.mov at the Barre Social Club. Many thanks to everyone who came out, helped us do this, inspired and made the film, and who keep this community alive. If you haven't seen the film, try to do it, you will not be the same afterwards.

Wednesday, April 1, Millstone will be presenting an award winning documentary, Best Day Ever https://www.bestdayever.mov/ at the Barre Social Club. Best Day Ever follows the stories of adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi as they navigate the relentless challenges of their disabilities and embrace the tremendous support, friendship, and joy they find in their rural Vermont riding community. Many thanks to everyone who came out last night for our last full moon snowshoe hike of the season. It was a great night with clear skies, good snow, comfortable temps, and several gnomes. We'll be taking a short break for now, but will be back with more adventures on the trails in the summer, so stay tuned.
