Race to Read Race to Read is a literacy program using race cars to inspire children's passions for reading.

Let’s give it up for our 2026 Race to Read kids! 👏📗

Together, they kicked off the 64th running of the Vermont Milk Bowl by saying, “Drivers, start your engines!” 🐮💚🏆
We’d also like to thank all the kids who participated yesterday. We know it involved a lot of walking and waiting, but every single one of them was so well behaved . We thought their parents would like to hear that!

🏁 Let’s give it up for the Thunder Road Kids Champ Karts drivers!

These young drivers earned the opportunity to drive their go-karts on the big track in front of the crowd. They even got to say, “Drivers, start your engines!”

We’re proud of all the drivers who stayed focused both on and off the track this summer while keeping up with their reading. Great job, drivers! 📚🏎️👏
