Biography

Zack Stachowski is currently the director of music at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in West Bloomfield, MI. He is also a liturgical composer, author, musician, and producer of sacred music content for GIA Publications. His first GIA collection, God Never Tires, was released in 2017, and he can be heard performing violin, guitar, and vocals on numerous GIA recordings.As a music minister and liturgist, Zack has worked in parishes in Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, and Minnesota.

Zack is also the author of several books on prayer, youth formation, sacramental life, and family spirituality, published by Twenty-Third Publications and Liturgical Training Publications. Also a clinician Zack has presented at NPM, the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, and at parishes throughout the United States on topics of youth ministry, prayer, social media and ministry, instrumental ensembles, and has served as music director for major national gatherings including the Mid-Atlantic Congress and the One Call Institute.

A violinist and conductor, Zack holds a Master of Music in violin performance from the University of Maryland. He has performed and conducted throughout the United States and internationally. He is also a co-founder of the Open Your Hymnal podcast and the One Call Institute, reflecting his commitment to excellent liturgical music, thoughtful formation, and the future of sung prayer.
