🎓 BIG DREAMS START SMALL! 💙💛❤️💚

Our little learners at Jeff Davis Head Start showed up in their favorite college colors to celebrate National College Colors Day! From Georgia red to Clemson orange and everything in between, our classrooms were filled with school spirit, smiles, and BIG dreams. 🏈📚✨

College may seem a long way away when you're in preschool, but school readiness, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning begin early. Every experience that tells a child, “There is a future waiting for you,” matters. ❤️

And judging by these smiles, our Jeff Davis Head Start kiddos understood the assignment! 😂🎓

There’s something special about watching children discover that books can take them beyond the page. At our Toombs County Head Start Center, families recently came together for Family Reading Night—an evening filled with reading, creativity, learning, and memories. 📖✨

This family literacy experience featured Lola Plants a Garden, bringing the story to life through fun, garden-themed crafts and hands-on activities. 🌱🌸 Children worked alongside their families to create, explore, and strengthen the fine motor skills that help build the foundation for writing and other important school-readiness skills.

That’s why Family Reading Night is about more than reading one book. It’s about families learning together. Because when families are engaged in a child’s learning, every story matters. 🐝📚

Little Leaders. Big Style. Bright Futures. ✨

Our preschoolers traded their everyday looks for bow ties big and small to celebrate National Bow Tie Day! From polka dots to stripes, our little leaders dressed to impress and had a blast learning while looking sharp. 😍

Beyond the fun, activities like this help preschoolers build:
🎀 Color & pattern recognition through fun designs
🎀 Shape learning by exploring bow tie geometry
🎀 Fine motor skills with crafting, buttoning, and pretend-tying
🎀 Confidence & self-expression as they show off their own unique style

Small steps. Big discoveries. Brighter futures. ✨

Our Early Head Start littles got hands-on this week exploring textures and colors while "painting" their very own honeycomb bee hives! From sensory painting at the table to proudly showing off their finished hexagon hive creations, these little learners were buzzing with excitement (and pride!) 🐝💛

We believe every small moment is a building block for lifelong learning. 💙

Brantley County Head Start recently welcomed 24 parents for our Parent Meeting and we loved seeing such a strong turnout! 🙌🏽

Parent involvement is more than attending a meeting. It’s about building connections, strengthening the partnership between home and Head Start, and working together to give our children the strongest possible foundation.

A BIG THANK YOU to every parent and family member who joined us, participated, and continues to be an active part of their child’s Head Start journey. 💙🩵
