is a non-profit organization originally formed to address senior hunger in Ware and Pierce counties. However, we have evolved into much more than a weekend meals program. As we interacted with seniors in our community, we saw a need for real change. We encountered people who believed that they had no power. They shared their experiences and learned that many of the poor feel that those in position
s of power in this country minimize their experiences. They shared their feelings of frustration, helplessness, and sometimes hopelessness. These encounters fostered my determination to expand Love Feeds' mission. We are now serving more than physical nourishment. After all, love feeds the mind, body, and soul. We aim to help the marginalized exert their God-given power and make their voices heard. Along with our nutrition program, we provide non-partisan voter education and engagement, including voter registration drives, canvassing, and phone banking. Love Feeds also coordinates community awareness events, including environmental justice (water/soil testing & holding utility companies accountable for high utility bills); expungement clinics; community feedings & food distribution; community events such as community graduation celebrations, youth events/programs, Juneteenth Celebration, and other programs as needed.
