Found a Pop Up Plant sale at 5922 W Wells St this morning. They have a good selection of tomatoes, peppers, and squash if you need to fill out your vegetable garden. They said they were only going to selling until noon or so today.

A local Girl Scout troop are hosting a pet supply drive and educating people about benchwarmers. They asked if we could share the information below with our members. Please take a look.

Are You Interested in Helping Pets in Need?

Our Girl Scout Bronze Award group from Troop 36140 is hosting a pet supply drive and educating people on a new pet shelter program.

Pet Food & Supply Drive 5/4-5/14

We are putting a donation box at Bentley’s Pet Stuff in Wauwatosa to collect donations of pet toys, pet food (new or opened) and other necessities such as leashes, collars, cat litter, etc…The toys and supplies can be new or gently used and clean. The donation bin will be at Bentley’s from 5/4-5/14. Please be a friend to animals in need!

Benchwarmer Foster to Adopt

Do you want to adopt a dog but worry they would be a good fit? The Wisconsin Humane Society has a new program where you can foster a benchwarmer and see if it works out. Benchwarmers are dogs at the Wisconsin Humane Society that have been at the shelter longer than average. This might be because they have lingering stereotypes, physical differences, or they are considered “too old”. This program gives a chance for you to find a forever friend and the dog to find a forever home. Call for TGIF Hosts!

We are hoping to restart TGIF's this summer and are looking for volunteers to host.

TGIFs are informal get-togethers hosted by NA members at their homes. They are held 1 Friday evening a month in the summer (depending on host availability). They are generally BYOB.

Hi all,

One of the early takeaways from the NA survey that was sent out recently is that many CJPN residents are interested in community service type events. As such, there is an upcoming event that I'd like to spread awareness of.

Milwaukee Riverkeeper is holding their annual Spring Cleanup on Saturday April 25th. Volunteers for the Spring Cleanup help keep our communities clean by removing more than 100,000 pounds of trash from our waterways annually.

They are hosting cleanups at numerous locations across the area, including one at Jacobus Park!
