ANNOUNCEMENT: Pat Murphy Will Be Inducted into Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy has been named the latest inductee into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame. Murphy, whose Irish heritage traces back to County Louth, will be officially inducted on August 11 prior to the Brewers' home game at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

Murphy has enjoyed success at every level of the game, including 1,000 career wins at the collegiate level. Known for developing future Major Leaguers and encouraging community service among his players, he built a legacy of leadership and impact.

At the University of Notre Dame, Murphy notched over 300 wins and led the team to three straight NCAA Regional Finals, posting a .732 winning percentage. He continued his collegiate success at Arizona State University, where he tallied more than 600 victories, earned four Pac-10 Coach of the Year awards, and made four College World Series appearances.

In 2024, Murphy guided the Brewers to 93 wins, captured the National League Central Division title, and was honored as the National League Manager of the Year.
