🏀 WYBC IS LOOKING FOR A CONCESSION COORDINATOR! 🏀

Are you looking for a great way to get more involved with Waupaca Youth Basketball Club (WYBC) while still being able to watch your son or daughter play?

We are looking for a Concession Coordinator to help oversee concessions and tournament-day operations throughout the basketball season.

🏀 CONCESSION COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The coordinator will help with:

• Making sure parents sign up for concession shifts
• Following up with families regarding their assigned shifts
• Ordering food and concession supplies
• Checking and maintaining food and concession inventory
• Making sure all tournament signs and documents are printed and ready
• Helping with tournament setup and tear-down
• Paying referees during tournaments
• Helping ensure tournament days run smoothly

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get involved with youth basketball, meet other families, and contribute to making WYBC a successful program.

⭐ One of the best parts? You'll be right there at the games and still be able to watch your son or daughter play!

No basketball coaching experience is necessary — just someone who is organized, dependable, and willing to help make things run smoothly.

🏀 WAUPACA YOUTH BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!🏀

It’s time to get ready for another great season of Waupaca Youth Basketball!🏀⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️

We are excited to welcome boys and girls in 3rd–8th grade to be part of the WYBC program!

🏀 Travel Basketball — Grades 3–8

Our travel program gives players the opportunity to learn the game, build their skills, compete against other communities, and have fun with their teammates!

🏀 Saturday Morning Basketball — Grades 3–6

We also offer our Saturday Morning Basketball Program for players in 3rd–6th grade. It’s a great way for players to get on the court, develop fundamentals, and enjoy the game!

🏀 A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE DRIVEWAY!🏀

A big shoutout to Sam with The Driveway for making the trip to Waupaca and putting on an excellent basketball camp for some of our youth basketball players!

We truly appreciate Sam taking the time to work with our players, teach the game, and help them continue to develop their skills. The kids had a great time and got some valuable work in on the court! 💪🏀

👏 Thank you to all of the parents and players who came out and supported the camp. We appreciate you taking the time to get in the gym, work on improving your game, and have some fun together as the summer winds down!

Junior Pointer Basketball Development League

I also wanted to ask for your help in passing along information about our Junior Pointer Basketball Development League to the players and families in your programs.

The league takes place on the UW-Stevens Point campus this fall and gives young players a chance to interact with and be coached by members of the UWSP Men’s Basketball team.

Dates:
Sunday, September 27
Sunday, October 4
Sunday, October 11

Time: 4:00–6:00 PM
Grades: 2/3/4, 5/6 and 7/8/9
Location: Quandt Fieldhouse, Berg Gymnasium & Skyward Fieldhouse

The first week includes fundamentals and evaluation games. From there, players are drafted onto teams based on age and ability, receive their team assignment and coach, and then return for league and tournament games over the following two Sundays. Every player receives personalized instruction and a Junior Pointer T-shirt.

We had participants from 40+ communities in recent years, and the Development League is designed to give young players something a little different—the chance to play on a college campus while building relationships with our UWSP players and program.

Waupaca Youth Basketball has partnered with The Driveway to host a skills camp designed to help players elevate their game. This camp is open to both boys and girls entering 4th through 8th grade and will focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping the experience fun and engaging.

The Driveway is a highly respected program known for developing players’ skills and passion for the game. Their experienced staff will lead focused training sessions covering:

Final Open Gym Reminder:

Our last open gym of the summer will be held this Thursday from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM at Waupaca High School.
