If you’ve been following our page for a while, you’ve probably noticed our new logo and name change. We’re excited to officially announce that Living the Waupaca Way is now Be Well Waupaca County! With that, we have created a new page to reflect our change, please like our new page and follow us there for future endeavors. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563748829283

This change reflects our coalition’s growth and evolution. We’ve expanded our focus beyond nutrition and physical activity to embrace all aspects of wellbeing. As we’ve grown, we’ve recognized the interconnected nature of wellbeing – including social wellness, food access, and the barriers people face.

We’re thrilled about new opportunities to support communities where everyone can thrive. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Stay connected for updates and ways to get involved!

Please take some time over the next month and a half to visit the newest exhibit at the Waupaca Area Public Library: Food Justice.

This exhibit brings attention to the importance of the four pillars of food security: opportunities for economic security, robust federal food and nutrition programs, strong emergency food network, and vibrant, accessible, and affordable food system. This exhibit brings to life the hardships that residents of Waupaca County are facing.

Nearly 11% of Waupaca County residents are food insecure.
Did you know that 19.5% of children in Wisconsin face food insecurity?

Food Justice will provide information and resources on this important topic, and help visitors learn how YOU can be part of the solution.

Thank you to our wonderful partner, Waupaca Area Public Library for all of your help with hosting this exhibit!!

Our next exhibit, FOOD JUSTICE, is open! This exhibit is a great collaboration with the Waupaca County Hunger Network and our friends at Foodwise Extension / Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, Winnebago Counties and Living the Waupaca Way . Stop by the lower level Exhibit Room during regular library hours, and as always, exhibits are FREE and open to the public.

Check out this amazing opportunity to get connected with many different resources within Waupaca County hosted by Connecting Waupaca County Communities, a subcommittee of Be Well Waupaca County!!

In addition to connecting with local support, there will also be health screenings, a Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin food distribution, haircuts and family photos provided at a first-come-first-served basis.

Saturday August 10th from 10-2 at the Manawa Masonic Center.

Find Your Super Power at 4-H Camp! Evening fun for children in K-4th Grade! This day camp type event will be held at the Fairgrounds in Weyauwega on Tuesday, July 30th from 4:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Registration is 4:30 - 4:45 p.m. Older youth can register to be a counselor. ⚠️ Stay Safe Sunday ⚠️

This is a great safety guide for children swimming in lakes and swimming pools. The color of the bathing suit can make it easier or more difficult to see children while they are swimming. This is a good reminder to always have adult supervision when children are swimming.
