Mount Merici Academy

Mount Merici Academy Mount Merici Academy is an Ursuline School serving children from age six weeks through Eighth-grade Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters.

Our Mission:
Mount Merici Academy, a Catholic school, is dedicated to nurturing the whole child - mind, body, and spirit - providing love and guidance so that students can achieve their personal best. In partnership with families, our mission is to instill the values of respect, responsibility, and self-discipline, teaching students in the Ursuline Serviam tradition of service to our community and

the world. Ursuline Educational Mission:
At the heart of Ursuline education is the Gospel call to mission and the living spirit of St. Grounded in this call and in this spirit, Ursuline education is relationship-centered, with attentiveness to and respect for the unique gifts, potential, and needs of each individual. It is an educational vision that fosters the development of the whole person – spirit, mind, and body – in a nurturing community environment. As Jesus and St. Angela were both attuned to the needs of those around them, Ursuline education seeks to form servant-leaders, open to and engaged in the ever-changing global reality in which they are called to live and serve.

As we close this incredible school year at Mount Merici Academy, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our students, parents, teachers, and staff. Your support and dedication have made this year one filled with growth, learning, and joy.

This year, our students embraced every opportunity that came their way. From choir, robotics, running club, and math team to countless classroom experiences, they challenged themselves, discovered new passions, and grew both academically and personally. They also lived out our Ursuline values through service projects completed with compassion and enthusiasm in our community. We know that the spirit of service will continue throughout the summer and beyond.

During our End of Year Assembly, we were especially honored to recognize Martha Hart, recipient of the Serviam Award, for 35 years of faithful service to Mount Merici Academy and our community as a beloved second-grade teacher. Mrs. Hart has touched the lives of generations of students through her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to education. We are deeply grateful for the impact she has made on our school family.

To our 8th-grade graduates, we wish you the very best as you begin your high school journeys. You have left a lasting mark on our community, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the years ahead.

Thank you for a wonderful year. Have a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of another school year at Mount Merici Academy!

Our Junior High students kicked off the fun with Field Day on Tuesday, and yesterday our elementary school students had their turn to play and enjoy the wonderful weather.

We also gathered for our end-of-year ice cream social to recognize the many service projects completed throughout the year!

To make the celebration even more special, our Junior High enjoyed a potluck lunch together. As we wrap up another incredible year, we are so proud of our students for the kindness, leadership, and enthusiasm they bring to our school community every day.

We are so blessed to be just a short distance from Acadia National Park, where our 4th-grade students spent the day exploring yesterday. As part of their study of the great state of Maine, students had the opportunity to experience firsthand one of our state's most treasured landmarks. Thank you to all of the parents and staff who made this day possible for our students!

As we celebrated the graduation of Mount Merici Academy's 8th Grade Class of 2026 on Friday, one thing was clear, this group has made an incredible impact on our school community.

Their speeches were filled with gratitude for the families, teachers, and friends who have supported them along the way, as well as words of encouragement for one another.

While we're excited to see what lies ahead for these students, we're especially thankful for one more week together. Their commitment to their faith, friendships, academics, and the Mount Merici community has left a lasting impression, and they will be deeply missed.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Thank you for the leadership, kindness, and spirit you've brought to MMA. Juniper, Zaydaan, Abby, Stephen, Maddy, William, Alex, and Luke, we are so proud of you and can't wait to watch you soar.

Join us as we celebrate the Mount Merici Academy Class of 2026 8th-grade graduates!

Today, we recognize and celebrate Luke Quirion!

Luke is known at MMA for being hardworking, service-minded, and confident. Throughout his time at MMA, he has demonstrated dedication to everything he does while bringing a kind, positive attitude to the school community.

Luke says he will miss the people at MMA the most, and one of his favorite memories is playing volleyball with his classmates. His strong work ethic and leadership skills have helped shape the community at Mount Merici Academy.

Luke will be attending Winslow High School, and in the future, he hopes to become a master woodworker and own his own business. His advice to younger students is "Do your work the same day it's assigned."

Luke, we at MMA are so proud of you and look forward to seeing all you accomplish in the future.

Join us tonight to celebrate all of our graduates!
