We also offer a variety of production focused workshops that, when completed, will grant even further access to our studio and editing suites. Our goal is to develop content produced primarily by the Watertown community. Our members are free to express themselves in a multitude of ways and are not limited to what they can produce. We are always accepting new members, and there’s nothing we love more than showcasing the diversity of our city through the people that make it so unique.

The Watertown High School football team kept its undefeated season alive Friday night, Oct. 16, overcoming an early deficit and rainy conditions to defeat Melrose 15-7 at Victory Field.

The Raiders improved to 6-0 with the victory, defeating a Melrose team that entered the game 4-1.

Melrose struck first with a touchdown late in the opening quarter, but Watertown responded just before halftime when quarterback Coleman Keuchkarian-McKeen connected with Mason Lamacchia on a 10-yard touchdown pass.

With heavy rain falling in the second half, sophomore Max Velazquez broke free for a 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. A successful two-point conversion gave Watertown a 15-7 lead.

The Raiders' defense came through with several crucial stops, including an interception by Velazquez in the fourth quarter and a late turnover on downs that effectively sealed the victory. Lamacchia also recorded an interception.

The win marked Watertown's sixth consecutive victory and secured the Raiders a spot in the postseason.

🎙️ WCA-TV is excited to be hosting another season of Watertown’s Open, a podcast series hosted by Matt Hanna of Little Local Conversations.

The series brings together local business leaders, city staff and community members for conversations about Watertown’s business community, in partnership with the City of Watertown, the Watertown Business Coalition and WCA-TV.

In the latest episode, “Activating Local Independent Retailers,” Matt and his guests explore how Watertown can support small, independent businesses and create more opportunities for them to grow.

The conversation covers pop-up retail, creative uses for underutilized spaces, the challenges facing independent retailers, and how collaboration between businesses, property owners, municipalities and community organizations can help lower barriers for local entrepreneurs.

We’re proud to provide a space at WCA-TV where conversations like these can happen - and where local ideas, businesses and voices can connect with the community.
