💜 Recognizing domestic violence. Supporting survivors. Finding the words to speak up.

AIWA New England is proud to co-sponsor Building a Safe Community: Understanding and Preventing Domestic Violence, a conversation about recognizing the signs, responding with care, and supporting those affected.

The evening will feature a personal story from Sophie Pariseau, whose family was forever changed by domestic violence, alongside perspectives from Sydney Carter and Scott Parseghian. Lenna Garibian of the Women’s Support Center, Armenia, will moderate.

AIWA remains committed to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and advancing women’s safety and well-being. Everyone deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported.

Learn to Play Mahjong with AIWA New England!

Join us for a fun and welcoming two-part Mahjong tutorial designed for beginners! In the spirit of supporting Armenian business owners, we’re thrilled to have three talented Armenian women entrepreneurs, the founders of Mahjesty Mahjong, lead our sessions.

Over two evenings, you’ll learn the basics of American Mahjong: the tiles, the cards, how to build a hand, and the fundamentals of play.

Beyond the fun, Mahjong is a great wellness break for your mind. Step away from the screen, sharpen your memory and focus, reduce stress, and connect with others around the table.

Come learn, practice, and build your confidence, all while enjoying complimentary drinks and refreshments!

We were delighted to spend time with the interns of AGBU Global Leadership Program Boston and get to know such an inspiring group of young women. They impressed us not only with their intelligence and accomplishments, but also with their warmth, curiosity, and sense of purpose.

A special thank-you to AIWA NEW ENGLAND committee member Rita Bejakian for graciously opening her home.

We wish them all the very best in their future endeavors and will be there to cheer them on and support them in whatever they need along the way.

So grateful to everyone who joined us for such a beautiful evening featuring . As the photos show, it was a night full of creativity, connection, and community while celebrating the next generation of Armenian female entrepreneurs.

A special thank you to our gracious hostess Roset Atinizian, who always goes above and beyond to make our events so memorable and successful.
