Having more good days isnโ€™t a solo mission. Check in with friends, colleagues, and loved ones to see how theyโ€™re feeling, and offer support and encouragement. Even small moments of connection can remind us weโ€™re not the only ones feeling what weโ€™re feeling.

When we look out for one another, more good days become possible for all of us. ๐Ÿ’š

Mental health is deeply personal, and what works for one person may not work for another โ€” and thatโ€™s okay. Finding your path can involve trial and error, exploring options, understanding yourself better, and honoring what feels supportive and sustainable for you right now.

Here are just a few ways students across Region 5 relax when life feels stressful!

๐Ÿ“ข Sponsorship alert! Thank you Western CT Coalition for providing a Gold Level Sponsorship for Pride Party. ๐Ÿณโ€๐ŸŒˆ This sponsorship covers a large portion of what it takes to host Pride Party and we could not be more grateful.

Why does WCTC want to sponsor Pride Party?

"Western CT Coalition is invested in the health and well-being of all individuals in the 43 towns of western CT, especially Watertown where our office is located. We know members of the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly youth and young adults, face risk factors that can contribute to poor mental health and increase the risk for substance misuse or su***de.

We also know that feelings of belonging, support, and a sense of community are some of the most powerful protective factors that exist. We aim to provide behavioral health prevention education, training, and awareness in our 43 towns, and to celebrate what is wonderful about our communities! We look forward to celebrating Pride with everyone on June 7!"

WCTC will be at Pride Party to share about their organization and provide resources for LGBTQ+ community members. ๐Ÿณโ€๐ŸŒˆ

๐Ÿ“… Pride Party: Sunday, June 7th from 12-4pm
๐Ÿ“ Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion - 570 Nova Scotia Hill Road Watertown, CT 06795
๐Ÿณโ€๐ŸŒˆ Qu**rs and allies: join us for a beautiful family-friendly day to celebrate Pride Month and enjoy goodie bags, over $2,000 worth of raffle items, tie dye, face painting, awesome vendors, local food, & more.

Last night was our second annual "LPC Flea" ๐Ÿœ- a swap meet where Local Prevention Councils bring their extra prevention materials and leftover giveaways, and then walk away with something new. Stickers, shirts, toolkits, handouts, whatever! Each LPC also created a one page summary of coalition accomplishments, new initiatives, and more to be shared with local government, community members, etc.
