Before we begin our day, we pause to remember.

Today marks the anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944 — one of the most pivotal moments in history. More than 156,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, facing overwhelming odds in the fight to liberate Europe from tyranny.

Many of those young men never returned home. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than themselves changed the course of the world.

At Veterans K9Equine Alliance, we honor the legacy of those who served before us and recognize that the freedoms we enjoy today were secured by generations willing to answer the call when it mattered most.

As we remember the heroes of D-Day, we also remember all veterans who have carried that legacy forward through service, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation.

Today, we ask our community to join us in a moment of gratitude for the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and for all who have worn our nation’s uniform.

We remember their sacrifice. We honor their courage. We preserve their legacy.

🇺🇸🎉 We’re Heading Back to Summerfest! 🎉🇺🇸

Last year’s Summerfest was one of the highlights of our year.

We met incredible people, shared our mission with the community, and had the opportunity to tell the story of the dogs and horses helping veterans heal across America.

That’s why we’re excited to be returning for our second year in a row to the 38th Annual Summerfest in Croton-on-Hudson on June 7th.

If you’re planning to attend, come say hello, meet the team, and check out some of our new Veterans K9Equine Alliance gear. Most importantly, we’d love the chance to share what we’re building and the impact these amazing animals are making in the lives of veterans every day.

Thank you to the organizers for putting together such a great event. We can’t wait to see everyone again and make this year even better than the last.

June is both PTSD Awareness Month and Men’s Mental Health Month.

For many veterans, the battles don’t always end when the uniform comes off.

PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other invisible wounds affect countless veterans and their families. Yet too many still suffer in silence because of stigma, pride, or the belief that they have to carry the weight alone.

At Veterans K9Equine Alliance, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact that dogs and horses can have in the healing process. These animals provide more than companionship—they offer trust, purpose, connection, and a path forward.

This month, we encourage every veteran to remember one simple truth:

Asking for help is not weakness. It’s strength.

Whether you’re struggling yourself or checking in on a fellow veteran, a conversation can change a life.

Together, let’s raise awareness, break the stigma, and support those carrying invisible wounds.

Because no veteran should have to fight alone.
