Due to my close connections with garment distributors, I have arranged to purchase quality knit winter hats in various colors and styles at wholesale prices direct from the distributors. We just dropped 130 hats at Saint Vincent de Paul in Waterbury. They are already at capacity with 100 residents (men, women, children) seeking shelter from this storm. I hope they enjoy the hats.

The wheels are in motion for this years fundraising. We will be sending out letters, passing out flyer and launching the new Have A Hat For Humanity website starting in one week.

I would like to extend a special thank you everyone who participated. Thank you for a very successful first season at Have A Hat For Humanity. I'm very happy I was able to start this cause with the help of many generous individuals, who together made a difference in over 450 people's lives this winter season. For once, I'm looking forward to next winter!

UPDATE: We were able to raise enough money in the second round of fundraising to purchase 250 hats. (125 children's hats and 125 adult hats). We also received 15 new donated hats from two supporters. The hats were donated to Catholic Charities of Waterbury on Monday, March 5th.
