Surprise again! The BHCGA Board of Directors recently made another discretionary grant, this time to the Youth Art Team in honor of Eric Ritland.

Eric is finishing his second term (6th year) on the BHCGA Board. His expertise as an architect has helped inform decisions on blueprints and plans presented with many of our capital grants. He also believes in the importance of empowering youth to pursue talents, and referenced his experience with art as a kid informing his career path. Let's hear it for Eric!

Surprise!!! The BHCGA Board recently approved a discretionary grant to the La Porte City for Public Art in honor of Jane Whittlesey.

Jane is finishing her sixth year on our board. She has served on the executive committee as both secretary and treasurer during her tenure. She has a great understanding of local government finance and rules/regulations. In fact, she's lead board trainings several times to help other members understand challenges Northeast Iowa commuities face. Steady with a quick wit, Jane will surely be missed. Help us thank her for her service!
