Marching Against The Darkness

Marching Against The Darkness It develops future talent through performing arts for disconnected youth. Our contest raises the standard to penalize such movements within our rules.

The Marching Against The Darkness provides a performing arts platform that challenges disconnected youth to achieve excellence both during the competition and in life. The Marching Against The Darkness Drill Team Contest is a multi-generational event that hosts local and out of state drill teams that highlight art & culture through dance, color guard, and percussion. To compete at this level takes

dedication, teamwork, discipline, and so much more. In addition, the event will provide a college and career fair to gain knowledge on post-secondary educational opportunities. As we expand, future workshops and seminars will be offered. The competition will continue to serve as a recreational safe family function, however as we grow this event it will assist with developing youth in and outside of our community by connecting with more colleges, local community agencies, and youth serving organizations in the planning process.
