Losing a child is hard. Sharing a birthday with the child you lost... well, there really are no words for that kind of bittersweet day.

Today we celebrate our sweet Misti, while also remembering Noah, who should be turning 18 years old.

What we do know is this: Misti has taken her grief and transformed it into something beautiful. Through her own journey, she has become a source of comfort, hope, and understanding for so many families facing unimaginable loss.

As Loving Benjamin's Comfort Care Doula, Misti walks alongside families during remembrance photography sessions, helping them create precious, tangible memories with their baby while our professional photographers preserve those moments forever. She is an extra set of hands, a compassionate presence, and a caring heart when families need it most.

The work Misti does cannot be measured in hours or tasks completed. It is measured in the families who felt less alone, the parents who were given permission to love their baby fully, and the memories that might not have been made without her gentle guidance.

Happy Birthday, Misti.

We love you so much.

Your love for Noah shines through in everything you do. Watching you share his story and walk beside other families so they know they are not alone fills our hearts with gratitude.

Thank you for your heart, your compassion, and for allowing Noah's legacy to touch the lives of so many.

With all our love,

The Loving Benjamin Team & Families

The pain of losing one baby is already devastating. But to walk through this kind of heartbreak twice, or even more than twice, feels almost impossible to put into words. There are some losses that are so deep, so life changing, that language simply falls short.

Sadly, many of the families we serve have experienced multiple pregnancy and infant losses. They have carried the hopes and dreams of a baby only to face unimaginable heartbreak again. Often there are no answers. No explanation. No reason why.

As I sat with Cherry's family, my heart ached for them. The weight of this loss felt especially heavy knowing that this was not their first goodbye. While nothing can make this pain okay, I found myself thinking about the only comfort I could hold onto in that moment. Sweet Cherry was not alone when she arrived in Heaven. Her big sister was there waiting for her.

As a bereaved mother myself, I know how much we long to mother the babies we cannot hold. I know how desperately we wish things had been different. I know the ache of wondering who they would have become.

To the families we serve, please know this. Your babies are not forgotten. Their stories are etched into our hearts. We carry them with us long after we leave your hospital room. We remember their names. We remember their faces. We remember the love that filled the room when they were born.

We grieve with you.

We pray for you and with you.

We honor your babies.

And we hold space for every chapter of your story, including the chapters filled with heartbreak.

Cherry's life mattered.

Her big sister's life mattered.

And every baby we have the privilege of serving matters.

Always. 💜

It's Wishlist Wednesday

Everything that goes into our Comfort Care Boxes sits on two shelves in my home office. I usually keep a close eye on what we need and restock items as funds allow.

Yesterday, I was called to serve a family. When I arrived, momma was in the bathroom changing into something more comfortable. A nurse asked, "Do you have a hair brush?" I heard momma quietly reply, "I didn't bring one..."

That pause said everything.

Of course she didn't bring one. She came straight to the hospital.

Without missing a beat, I said, "I have one for you. I have a robe, a hair brush, and fuzzy socks."

It may seem like such a small thing, but in those moments, being able to offer even a little bit of comfort means so much.

When I came home later that evening, I checked our shelves and realized we only have two hair brushes left.

At the beginning of the year, we purchased enough supplies to keep at least 25 Comfort Care Boxes ready to go. Yesterday, we served our 23rd family of 2026.

The growth of this program has been tremendous. The reason behind that growth is heartbreaking, but it also means more families are receiving support during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Today, for Wishlist Wednesday, we're asking for your help replenishing our Comfort Care Box supplies. Every robe, hair brush, pair of fuzzy socks, blanket, journal, and comfort item helps us show a family that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.

If you'd like to help us restock our shelves, you can shop our wishlist or make a donation toward Comfort Care Box supplies.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us bring comfort when it is needed most. ❤️

Be the reason someone feels comfort. https://a.co/0fIY6F95

💙 Just a little update... and what an update it is! 💙

We beyond excited to share that, together with our amazing friends at The JAM Center, our very first Jam Family Fest: Loving Benjamin's Day of Family Fun raised over $21,000 last month to support both organizations!!! What an incredible blessing and testament to the power of community!

To say we are overwhelmed with gratitude would be an understatement. This is absolutely monumental for Loving Benjamin as we continue to grow and serve more and families in our community.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to The Jam Center for believing in our mission and partnering with us to create such an incredible day. Your heart for families and your commitment to our community made this event possible, and we are so grateful to be doing this work alongside you.

To our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, donors, and every single person who came out and spent the day with us, thank you. Every ticket purchased, every donation made, every hour volunteered, and every smile shared helped make this event a success.

We truly could not do this without all of you. Thank you for showing up, supporting our mission, and helping us continue to bring hope, support, and remembrance to the families we serve.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💙

With gratitude

In May, Loving Benjamin had the honor of walking alongside several families whose babies will always be deeply loved and remembered.

Each family we meet leaves a lasting imprint on our hearts. Today, we pause to honor their precious babies and acknowledge the love that surrounds them still.

Please take a moment to say their names with us:

🤍 Lillian Bodei
🤍 Susannah Adah Samara
🤍 Eden May
🤍 Cameron
🤍 Harper Rose

These babies matter. Their lives matter. Their stories matter.

We speak their names because they are loved. We remember them because they will never be forgotten.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. 💙🩷🤍
