Tonight’s Pride Support Group is a laid‑back game night. If you’re into board games or just want a fun, relaxed evening, we’d love to have you.

We meet at 6:30 pm at Auburn United Methodist Church. Please come in through the back door by the playground. Take a right, walk down the hallway, and at the end take another right. We meet in the room Mixed Nuts.

The church is an affirming, welcoming space that generously allows us to use their facilities at no cost, but our meetings are always secular and open to everyone. LGBTQ+ community members, allies, family, and anyone wanting to learn how to support the community are welcome. If pronouns or Pride flag colors feel confusing, this is a safe place to learn.

We’ll also talk about the 2026 DeKalb County Pride Festival and start gathering ideas for 2027. We officially have a date set, so mark your calendars for Saturday, June 26 at James Cultural Plaza.

We are VERY excited to have our first meeting to start planning our 2027 Pride festival! We take the month of July off to reflect on the last event, breathe, and reset so we can give the best versions of ourselves to planning the festival! We also have some new members joining our team that we cannot wait to work with and introduce to you all! Here is to making 2027 the best festival yet! 🌈👏

Not our typical content, but a very important reminder to the community! Safety is important!

As DeKalb County Central United Schools head back to the classroom next week, we'll once again see more children walking, riding bikes, waiting at bus stops, and traveling on school buses.

Keeping our students safe is everyone's responsibility. Please stay alert, slow down in school areas, and watch carefully for children who may be crossing streets or riding near traffic.

Most importantly, when a school bus has its red lights flashing and the stop arm extended, STOP. Those signals are there to protect children as they get on and off the bus.

Indiana School Bus Stop Laws:

🚌 Two-Lane Roadways
When a school bus stops with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, all motorists must stop.

🚌 Multi-Lane Roadways (No Barrier Between Lanes)
If there is no median or physical barrier separating traffic, all motorists in both directions must stop.

🚌 Multi-Lane Roadways (With a Grassy or Concrete Median)
Only vehicles traveling behind the school bus are required to stop. Traffic approaching from the opposite side of the median is not required to stop.

Every stop matters. A few moments of patience can prevent a tragedy.

Let's work together to make sure every student arrives at school safely and returns home safely each day.

What a great night at Party in the Parking Lot! DeKalb County Pride was so glad to be back, and we got to send over 250 school notebooks home with kids in our community. Thank you to United Methodist Church of Auburn for including us again this year. Wishing all our students in DeKalb County a safe, successful year ahead!
