In an emergency, every second matters. Fire fighters need quick access to hydrants to protect lives and property. Please help by keeping snow and ice at least 3 feet away from fire hydrants. A few minutes of clearing can make a life-saving difference.

❄️ Winter Weather Alert – Stay Safe & Stay Warm! ❄️

Tonight through the weekend and into next week, we’re expecting snow and frigid, below-zero temperatures.

Please take extra precautions to keep yourself and others safe.

✔️ Limit time outdoors when possible
✔️ Give yourself extra travel time if snow arrives
✔️ If able, park vehicles in driveways (not on streets) so plows can clear roads efficiently
✔️ Check on friends, family, and neighbors

Tips from Auburn Electric:

⚡️Keep your thermostat set at a consistent temperature
⚡️Additional layers including sweaters, sweatshirts, and blankets can provide extra warmth without raising the thermostat
⚡️Rolled towels placed at the edge of doors can help to keep drafts out
⚡️Space heaters are not only a fire hazard they will raise your bill
⚡️Never use a stove or oven to heat your house as it is a fire hazard
