It’s a chance to catch up with friends, dress up in something fun, and enjoy the late afternoon vibe. You’ll be supporting Friends of Harkness in our efforts to help maintain the buildings, gardens and grounds at this wonderful State Park.

Historic Gardens Day
Sunday June 28th 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Friends of Harkness joins with Connecticut Historic Gardens by providing tours of the gardens at Harkness. Docents will be focusing on the history and design of the gardens as well as information on how the people who made it happen.

No tickets required, entry is free

America’s Birthday Ride
July 3 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
In honor of America’s 250th birthday, we invite you to decorate your bikes, wagons, strollers. wheelchairs for a parade around the park. To help us celebrate, we will have face painting by Salem Art Space, Waterford Officer K9’s Hodges to promote safe cycling, Waterford Community Band, Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center and more!
