🎉EXCITING NEWS!!!🎉

DRAW’s new children’s book, Miles & His Bucket is now available for order in the DRAW online store. Made from repurposed pallets, the book is a metaphor of DRAW’s mission, from a child’s perspective. (And might be a sweet Christmas gift 😀)

We wanted to shout out a couple of our partners on the ground in Pensacola after Isaias in the past week & a half.

Pensacola Dream Center 501C3 has been awesome in caring for local residents with immediate needs.

Jubilee Church Pensacola has been great at resourcing other local distributions for Pensacola & the surrounding communities.

United Cajun Navy has been everywhere, filling the gaps and assisting in more ways than we can count.

Nobody is in this thing alone.

Every year, DRAW works to take unused materials from our storm responses and create crafts from them, to be sold as a fundraiser at Christmas time. With craft fairs coming in the next two months, we're in the final stages with our craft production, and we NEED your help/extra hands to finish the projects. (No special skills necessary)

‼️We are excited to announce the limited release of the NEW DRAW children’s book, titled Miles & His Bucket.‼️

The book, made entirely of used pallet wood (the same pallets used to deliver relief supplies), tells a story of a young child who loves his bucket, but loves others more.

Miles & His Bucket is available, starting this weekend, in limited quantities, exclusively at The Coffee Bucket, for $25, with all proceeds supporting DRAW’s mission, of course,

The book will be available in wider supply, both online and at local fairs, as we get closer to Christmas.

Huge shoutouts to both staff and volunteers who have put in countless hours to make this book possible. (And if you’d like to volunteer to help create this book for even more children, we could use the help😁)

🪣Isaias Recovery Update🪣

Our team started distribution this morning, getting both indoor and outdoor cleanup buckets (& tarps) into the hands of the hurricane survivors in Pensacola, many of whom are just now returning after evacuating before the storm.

Big shoutout to our partners at the Pensacola Dream Center 501C3 , who are caring for their neighbors in many tangible ways.

🚨URGENT RESPONSE:🚨

Hurricane Isaias is making landfall today all along the Florida Panhandle, and has grown to a Category 3 hurricane over the past 24 hours.

We have been planning for Isaias all week, have connected with our mission partners in multiple Gulf communities, and are working out of both our Jackson, MS and Jacksonville, FL locations to respond this weekend (with our Michigan location supporting all operations).

Tens of thousands of residents in Isaias' path are going to need our help!

🪣These responses will deplete both of our southern warehouses by more than 70%. You can visit our Amazon wish list to provide inventory.
🪣Depending on the severity of the storm damage, we may have field ops volunteers assisting survivors with cleanup. If you live in the southeast region and are interested in volunteering on the ground, you can inquire about details.

What an awesome day!!! We were able to lift spirits, with a little help from our friends in Grayling. In all, we gave away more than six dozen bikes to kids who went through the historic flooding in Northern Michigan last spring.

🚨 We are VERY EXCITED to announce that we have created a children’s book: Miles and his Bucket.

📖 Written by our director, Greg Martin, and illustrated by our event coordinator, Samantha, Miles and his Bucket is a story of a young man who uses what he has for others.

The book is a metaphor that embodies the spirit of our mission. Additionally, the book is being printed on re-purposed pallet wood, the same pallets DRAW has used to deliver relief supplies to communities affected by natural disasters.

The book will be available to order on our website starting on October 14, with our proceeds from the sales going to support our mission of providing relief to disaster victims. We’ll share more about the process closer to the availability date, but we were too excited to hold the news in any longer. ‼️
