With Merrillville, IN slammed by a massive tornado at 8:30p last night, we were here 13 hours later, going door-to-door delivering tarps, buckets, and sweaty hugs to tornado survivors in need of them. This city needs your prayers.

We were honored to work with dozens of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Friday in their day of service. They took a break from making beautiful music to help us us make buckets instead.

Yesterday was the last day of school for many students in Northern Michigan. That also meant it was Bike Day in communities that were impacted by the massive flooding from late April.

We were able to work with Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency in Iosco county, as well as Knights of Columbus, Cheboygan Mi to give away dozens of new bikes to kids as they go into the summer.

Last day of school just got even better!

🚨Volunteers Needed!!🚨

If you follow our work, you know that we’ve worked in Detroit several times in the past few years dealing with some kind of flooding, whether that’s from excessive rain or water main breaks. Hundreds of families have been victimized more than once by these floods, having to start over repeatedly.

Some of the house flooding has been exacerbated by poor grading around their houses, with the land actually funneling the water toward them.

So next Tuesday, June 9th, we’ll be participating in a multi-agency effort, where we’ll be providing dirt for homes in an entire neighborhood, and then raking/grading it to make the water run AWAY from their houses, mitigating any future flood damage.

We have a team in place, and are looking for 6-8 more people willing to serve next week, likely between 9:30a-3p.

For this opportunity, please message us directly, either here or at [email protected].

Thanks for helping us make a difference in the lives of Detroit flood victims!

We’re regularly turning used billboard covers into tarps to be used in the field. This process is labor intensive, so we rely on volunteers to help us create the tarps.

Thank you to volunteers from FedEx & Commercial Alliance, who helped us make our way through a few dozen billboard covers this week!
