Brother Knights Michael Mandzuik, Michael Swillum, Ray Bilyk and Kevin Wisely proudly participated in the Archdiocese of Detroit event “Called to Care Human Dignity Formation Day” at Sacred Heart Seminary last weekend.

Terrific program put on by Kathleen Wilson and her colleagues.

So many life values are under attack in our society. We need to be vigilant and pray for our society.

John and Jean Kempf are dedicated members of our council and parish. They are both active volunteers.

They have four children and three grandchildren.

They both work with the parish worship committee and help with the priests’ calendar and photos and editing.

Jean works on the vocations committee, which puts on the annual Desert Meal dinner that helps seminarians raise funds for their Holy Land pilgrimage. She prays daily for vocations and restocks the vocations prayer material outside the sacristy. Jean is a sacristan and helps prepare the altar for daily Mass.

John is in the program This Man is You. He helps the Knights with the Tootsie Roll drives and is involved with the Wednesday Bible study program. John highly recommends the Bible study program if you are interested.

Pope St. John XXIII Council 5436 is proud to recognize John and Jean Kempf as our Family of the Month.

We’re honored to welcome Jonah Lyon of Protect Life Michigan, who will share information and insights about the current landscape of abortion in Michigan, how it affects our communities, and tangible ways to help.
